Professor Beloborodov received his M.Sc. from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and his Ph.D. from Lebedev Physical Institute. Prior to joining the Columbia faculty, he was a post-doctoral fellow at the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics in Toronto, Canada.
