I study nuclear physics at high energies, particularly Ultra-Peripheral Collisions (UPCs) between Lead ions at the LHC. We use UPCs as a clean probe of the structure of systems governed by the strong nuclear interaction, to learn new information about the underlying physical systems. These studies span a range of final-state observables, from photoproduction of dimuons to jets produced in UPCs. I was an undergraduate at the University of Virginia, and I am originally from Charleston, South Carolina.
