Stockholm University has chosen its 2017 honorary doctors, all of whom have contributed in distinctive ways to the University's activities in research and education.
This year's group includes Columbia's Professor Elena Aprile for her group's research on xenon-based detectors looking for the extremely rare particles that are believed to for the dark matter, deep in the ground under the Italian Gran Sasso massif. Elena Aprile is working closely in this area with the astroparticle physics group at Stockholm University.
