Columbia Society for Women in Physics

Welcome to the Columbia Society for Women in Physics!

We are a group of undergraduate students, graduate students and postdocs that aims to promote and encourage the participation of women and other underrepresented groups in Physics. Our gatherings provide a friendly, informal and supportive environment where participants can share their experience and seek for advice.

Our next event:
Date:  Wednesday, June 7th, 6pm
Place: Pupin Theory Center, 8th floor of Pupin
Description: This will be a casual gathering before the summer break comes. This time we would like to have an informal conversation about the life and discoveries of great female scientists, present and past. Feel free to bring up in the conversation the scientists you consider as role model, any exciting biography, book or movie on the topic. We will also talk about the next co-organizers for CSWP for the coming academic year. There are two co-organizer spots, ideally for one graduate student and one post-doc. If you are interested in this role, please come to the meeting or send an email. Food and drink will be provided.
